Nuno Pinheiro’s ‘60%’ Exhibition Is Dated 19 September–13 December 2026

Nuno Pinheiro’s exhibition ‘60%’ is scheduled for 19 September through 13 December 2026. Its title refers to the percentage of cancer survivors after five years, a statistic that serves as the starting point for Pinheiro’s autobiographical exhibition. The exhibition is autobiographical.

‘60%’ brings together 60 images produced from the late 1970s to the present, forming a visual path through the construction of identity and personal growth.

Through photography, Pinheiro revisits experiences of survival, questions differences in the education of girls and boys, reflects on the role of books and religion and on a society of waste, and explores the marks left by time and memory.

The exhibition uses a diversity of techniques and languages, moving from reportage to architectural photography and large-format studio work, and from traditional black-and-white photography to several Polaroid techniques.
