'Vocal Revolutions' is scheduled at SCHIRN from 17 to 20 September 2026, marking the conclusion of the exhibition 'The World Through AI.' An Artist Talk with Otto Roth and Kolja Reichert is scheduled for 19 September.
The installation comprises 36 spherical, illuminated speakers circling above the audience on twelve strings arranged across three circular levels, with the overall formation resembling a chain carousel.
Roth creates the installation's sound environment from pure sine tones and noise bands, making audible how artificial intelligence generates voices and instrumental sounds. Roth is described as both an artist and composer.
The carousel can symbolize childhood and departure, war, social masquerade, or the endless routine of everyday life.
