'TODAY IS OK' will run at Palais de Tokyo in Paris from October 21, 2026, through February 14, 2027. Presented at Cannes and co-produced by Palais de Tokyo, the film 'La Sentinelle' will be projected this autumn alongside a new installation work.
'La Sentinelle' follows Lafleur, a French soldier, over the course of France's national holiday, as the weight of his military duty silently weighs down upon him. Between nocturnal escapades and fleeting encounters, in particular with a cabaret performer, Lafleur wanders between dream and reality.
The exhibition offers an immersion in the effects of war on individuals and on their imaginaries.
'Soul Witness' explores how institutions of power—including the nation-state, the military and even the museum—shape the ways history is constructed and remembered.
