The MIC Faenza is presenting a centenary event for Muky, the artistic name of Vanda Berasi (1926–2022), on 19 September at Casa Muky Matteucci in Faenza, with the evening scheduled for 20:30 in the venue’s courtyard at Piazza 2 June. The event continues a series of initiatives celebrating Muky’s multifaceted figure on the centenary of her birth.
Titled ‘Muky, 100 anni di amore’, the 20:30 programme places poetry, theatre and literature at its centre, united with music, an art described as especially dear to Muky.
The programme includes readings from passages written by Muky, selected by Veronica Bassani of Fatti d’Arte, alongside music by Rodolfo Santandrea. It also draws on texts from Erika Dardi’s biographical novel ‘Muky. I giardini fioriti’, published by Curcio, to recount Muky through her great loves, her family, ceramics and Faenza.
Dardi will then meet in dialogue with Samantha Casella, identified as a film director, actress and screenwriter. The evening is organised in collaboration with Fatti d’Arte and the Associazione Amici della ceramica e del MIC.
