The exhibition’s joint opening is scheduled for 19 September from 11:30am to 5pm, as part of the 19th Parcours Céramique・Carouge and Geneva Art Week.
Patry’s ceramic practice is deeply rooted in the landscapes of the Loire Valley, where she collects earth, minerals and plant matter during walks for use in her ceramic pieces. Her practice unfolds through a continuous dialogue with material and gesture, with excavation, movement and shaping forming part of the same process.
In the kiln, the collected materials are transformed through heat and time, producing works with irregular surfaces and layered textures; some forms evoke mineral formations or fossil-like fragments.
The programme includes an artist talk with Patry on 20 September from 1pm to 2:30pm at Fondation Bruckner, followed by a guided tour of the Carouge exhibitions on 22 September from noon to 1:30pm.
