On September 19, Lizania Cruz will present 'Ecologies of Care,' an interactive kiosk at Socrates Sculpture Park. The presentation is part of Cruz’s Adobe Creative Residency at MoMA.
'Ecologies of Care' investigates interdependent relationships among people, wildlife, and the built environment in the Sculpture Park.
Throughout the project, park visitors are invited to contribute to a collective map, creating a living archive of the many connections they encounter.
A series of pamphlets will guide visitors through themes of nature, climate resilience, and community care through the lens of ecological relationships. These include relationships between monarch butterflies and milkweed, the shoreline and water, and the park and nearby residents.
