The conversation will address home, the emotional and social effects of immigration, and what it means to be a Haitian artist right now.

The event centers Deceus’s work ‘Carib-Import #1,’ which MoCADA says encapsulates his Haitian-American experience.

Deceus will be joined for the conversation by Régine M. Roumain, the executive director of Haiti Cultural Exchange. The walking tour will go to Haiti Cultural Exchange to learn more about its forthcoming exhibition in collaboration with the Archive of Alan Lomax.
