'Katz Reflects on Seeing the Works Together'

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes has mourned the death of Carlos Alonso, describing him as a great master and an unavoidable reference point in the contemporary visual history of the country.

In 2022, the museum paid tribute to Taquini with the exhibition ‘Una celebración a Graciela Taquini.’

‘El ángel y el escarabajo’ (1941) is a woodcut by José Planas Casas. Planas Casas was a Spanish artist who became an Argentine citizen.

‘Violetas y azaleas’ dates from 1875. Henri Fantin-Latour gathered highly luminous flowers and arranged bouquets in vases or pots.
