The Centre international d’art et du paysage de Vassivière has announced that the Iranian designer Arian Ghorbanian will undertake a France-Iran residency in autumn 2026, developing a project titled ‘KAIROS’.
Ghorbanian arrives at Vassivière after an intensive immersion at the Domaine de Boisbuchet. His residency will comprise seven weeks of research and experimentation at Vassivière, before he joins the technical production workshops of the Fondation Martell.
The announced itinerary gives ‘KAIROS’ a defined working passage through three sites: the completed immersion at Boisbuchet, the seven-week period at Vassivière and the subsequent workshops at Martell. Rather than presenting the residency as a single-site stay, the programme connects research and experimentation at Vassivière with a later period in the Fondation Martell’s technical production workshops.
The residency is organised in partnership with France’s Ministry of Culture, the Domaine de Boisbuchet in Lessac and the Fondation d’entreprise Martell in Cognac. The announcement identifies Ghorbanian as an Iranian designer and names ‘KAIROS’ as the project he will develop during the autumn 2026 residency.
