Taipei Fine Arts Museum’s TFAM Net.Open platform is continuing ‘Vanishing Acts’, an online exhibition curated by Doreen A. Ríos, through 31 December 2026. Commissioned and produced by the museum, the exhibition began on 19 September 2025 and features Anna Ridler, Federico Pérez Villoro, Jung Hsu and Olia Lialina.
‘Vanishing Acts’ addresses phenomena and developments in the digital era, reflecting on weight, traces, absence and vulnerability. Its exhibition site is organised under four headings—Memory, Fragility, Ghost and Matter—giving the project a clear structure for its four participating artists and their works.
The Memory section includes Hsu’s ‘Collected Memory_Carve from the Fragmented Past’. Lialina’s ‘On the Internet Everybody Knows You Had a Dog’ appears under Fragility, while Ridler’s ‘Every Single Iris on the Internet (the first 100,000 images)’ is listed in Ghost. Matter includes Pérez Villoro’s ‘No Distance’.
The exhibition is part of TFAM Net.Open, which Taipei Fine Arts Museum launched in 2024 around exchanges between digital technology and art. The platform seeks to foster diverse exchanges in creative methods and technology while reaching broader audiences. ‘Vanishing Acts’ is presented through a dedicated online exhibition site that also carries its thematic sections and public programme.
That programme has included a curator talk by Ríos, artist talks with Hsu, Lialina and Ridler, and a performance by Daniela de la Torre. An online artist talk, ‘Surfing: Federico Pérez Villoro’, is scheduled for 5 September 2026.
