Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer in Vilanova i la Geltrú will host ‘Diàlegs creuats: Ricart i Miró’ on 19 November. Esther Alsina and Anna del Valle will lead the event.
The dialogue forms part of ‘Miró. Art i territori’, a programme launched by the Xarxa de Museus d’Art de Catalunya to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró. Twenty art museums across Catalonia are participating in the cycle, which runs from September to December.
Each session brings together two specialists from fields including art, research, literature and philosophy to address a particular aspect of Joan Miró’s work and thought. The programme considers themes including Miró’s relationship with land and landscape, and connections between art, literature, music and spirituality.
The first dialogue takes place on 10 September at the Museu d’Art Modern de la Diputació de Tarragona, while the final session is scheduled for 12 December at the Museu Apel·les Fenosa.
