Hidden Gallery has listed a 1970 poster lithograph by Joan Miró, ‘Affiche pour l’Exposition Sculptures’, on the Miró page of its website. The gallery works from a showroom in Islington, north London, and shows work by appointment.
The gallery describes the sheet as a lithograph in colours on Lana Vellum paper, taken before the lettering was added, and gives its dimensions as 77 by 54 centimetres. The description is of the sheet rather than a framed size.
The impression is identified as hors commerce, standing aside from the edition of 150 rather than being numbered within it, and is signed and inscribed “HC” in pencil. The gallery does not say how many such impressions were pulled, so the marking places this sheet outside the numbered edition without indicating how unusual that is.
