Andy DuCett’s exhibition ‘Home(town)’ opens at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona, Minnesota, on 12 September 2026, and remains on view through 24 January 2027.
Taking the idea of a river town as its starting point, the exhibition comprises new site-specific installations that begin in the museum’s galleries and extend beyond its walls into Winona, DuCett’s hometown community. The artist works across multiple media and has described an approach that brings institutional presentation methods and languages together with hyper-local visual and cultural vernacular.
DuCett has invited Mark Dion, Allen Brewer, Carolyn Swiszcz, Deb Sokolow, Eric Carroll and Trever Hagen to contribute to the exhibition. Their distinct artistic practices will be brought into conversation with ‘Home(town)’s themes.
Programming includes ‘Just Looking: A Gallery Conversation’ with museum curators on 18 September and 11 December, both held within the exhibition. DuCett will also take part in a ‘Meet the Artist’ gallery conversation on 3 October.
