Centro Pecci in Prato is presenting ‘ROTTE. Arte di rottura dalla donazione Carlo Palli’, an exhibition curated by Stefano Pezzato and designed by Ibrahim Kombarji. On view from 31 May to 1 November 2026, the project draws on works and documents donated to the institution by the Prato collector Carlo Palli.
The exhibition selects from 180 works from Palli’s private collection, 380 works and documents from his Fluxus collection, and 230 works of Visual Poetry and related material. Its 150 displayed works address experimental artistic research in Italy, taking in references including Futurism, Dada, Surrealism, Informal art, Pop and Conceptual art.
The installation is organised across the galleries through research spanning Gruppo 70’s poetic-visual revolution; Neo-Avant-Garde bodies, icons and actions; text-based creative processes and writing; painting and its later variations; Fluxus’s interdisciplinary and playful approach; objects reinterpreted by Nouveau Réalisme; and environments revisited by Radical artists.
