Jan M Lundahl to Present ‘Bruce Springsteen’ Photography Exhibition in Borås

Abecita Popkonst & Foto in Borås, Sweden, will show ‘Jan M Lundahl – Bruce Springsteen’ from 24 September 2026 to 10 January 2027. The exhibition gathers photographs made over more than 25 years during which Lundahl has followed the musician with his camera.

The museum describes Springsteen as one of the great live performers of our time and Lundahl as one of Sweden’s most experienced music photographers. The pictures were taken on stage, backstage and in Springsteen’s encounters with audiences, and are presented as images that come close to the person behind the icon while catching the energy and presence that have made him widely loved. Lundahl’s work is characterised as personal, with feeling and narrative at its centre; the museum frames the show as being about music, devotion and encounters, and about a performer who still fills arenas worldwide.

The exhibition opens at a shared vernissage on Thursday 24 September at 6.30pm, together with two other autumn exhibitions opening the same day: Lena Granefelt’s ‘Natura Obscura’ and Johan Claesson’s ‘Nuläge’, both also running to 10 January 2027. Anna Lithander’s ‘Ögonblick du missade’, open since 7 May 2026, closes on the same date. A further exhibition, ‘Det kunde varit vi’ — presented by Glada Hudik-teatern in collaboration with photographer Magnus Laupa, on the 1922 founding of the State Institute for Racial Biology in Uppsala and the experiments carried out on people with intellectual disabilities — opens on 8 October 2026 and also closes on 10 January 2027.

Abecita Popkonst & Foto is at Herrljungagatan 15 in the Knalleland area of Borås. It is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 4pm and Saturday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
