Jealous Gallery and Print Studio has announced a new limited-edition work by British printmaker Kate Gibb. Titled ‘Saturday Sun’, the screenprint was produced at Jealous Print Studio and released in an edition of eight. The work was announced on 18 August 2026 and is listed by the gallery as sold out.
The release extends Gibb’s collaboration with Jealous, whose Shoreditch operation combines a gallery with printmaking and publishing facilities. The gallery describes ‘Saturday Sun’ as an example of Gibb’s psychedelic and unorthodox visual language, with a vivid colour treatment intended to appear as though it radiates from the paper. The edition was offered at £1,450 in Jealous’s announcement.
Jealous’s product listing gives the work a print size of 102 by 152 centimetres and identifies the edges as deckled. The listing also records that pickup from the gallery or worldwide delivery was available, subject to the gallery’s shipping arrangements. At the time of the listing supplied by Jealous, the work was marked “Sold out”.
The new edition is presented as being related to Gibb’s now-sold-out works from ‘Mental Hygiene’, her 2022 solo exhibition with Jealous. That exhibition, held at Jealous East from 16 June to 10 July 2022, brought together a new body of works printed in the Jealous Print Studios. The gallery described the series as drawing on familiar imagery while using Gibb’s distinctive approach to screenprinting and colour.
For ‘Mental Hygiene’, Gibb worked on deep black paper, applying bright, strongly coloured inks so that the printed pigment stood out against the dark ground. Jealous said the process was central to the works’ visual character, and described Gibb as a process-led printmaker whose decisions develop through the act of printing. The exhibition’s imagery included palm leaves, warm mornings and sunsets, according to the gallery’s account.
Jealous identifies Gibb as an award-winning printmaker and artist with more than 20 years’ experience in the print industry. Its 2022 exhibition text also notes that she worked closely with the studio team to develop the large-scale screenprints. ‘Saturday Sun’ is the latest Jealous release to draw on that established relationship between Gibb’s colour-based practice and the studio’s print production. Jealous’s listing gives the edition a height of 152 centimetres and a width of 102 centimetres, with the work available through the gallery’s print programme rather than as a dated exhibition event.
