Galería Gobernador has opened ‘Vlady’ in its Sala San Miguel space, in collaboration with Coyote, a gallery specialising in modern art. The show brings together a selection of prints, ink works and photographs by the Russian-Mexican painter and printmaker Vlady (Saint Petersburg, 1920 – Cuernavaca, 2005), all drawn from the artist’s personal archive.
Sala San Miguel is described by the gallery as its platform for experimentation, exchange and community-building: an open space for collaborations between artists, curators, collectives, residencies, galleries and independent initiatives.
The exhibition runs from 22 August to 15 October 2026 at Gobernador Luis G. Vieyra 21, San Miguel Chapultepec I Sección, Mexico City. It opened alongside two other shows at the same address, Carlos Vielma’s ‘Tolvanera’, curated by Rodrigo Torres Ramos, and Antoine Granier’s ‘Tableaux Vivants’; all three opened on 22 August 2026 from noon to 5pm and share the same closing date.
No curator, checklist or admission details have been published for the Vlady presentation. The gallery’s own website is currently under construction, so the listing is the only published source for the show.
