Modernism is a category of art or art movement represented by several artists such as Henri Matisse, Georgia O'Keeffe and Pablo Picasso. Across 28 recent stories, Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck, Art Gallery of Ontario and Barber Institute of Fine Arts have covered Modernism.
The Detroit Institute of Arts will open ‘Georgia O’Keeffe: Architecture’ on September 11, bringing approximately 35 paintings together for an exhibition focused on a sustained but less frequently examined aspect of the American artist’s practice.
‘Revolt in the Parlor: Escaping Victorian Taste’ opens at the Morse Museum in Winter Park, Florida, on Tuesday 13 October 2026, presenting more than 250 objects in three galleries that trace how artists and designers responded to a rapidly changing world over six decades, from 1890 to 1959.
