The Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art has drawn attention to Käthe Kollwitz’s 1907 work ‘Peasant War 6: Battlefield’ in a social-media post focused on the print’s fine details and dark tonal range.

Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art held the second installment of its Renoir event on August 9, inviting participants to create a ‘Renoir de map’ while looking closely at the information attached to works on display.

Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art will reopen on August 5 after a temporary closure caused by the earthquake that struck on July 28, the museum said in an announcement posted August 3.
