Swiss, 1901–1966
Alberto Giacometti was a Swiss artist known for his work as a sculptor, painter, draftsman, and printmaker. He was one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century, with his work influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. Giacometti's art often explored philosophical questions related to the human condition, existentialism, and phenomenology.
