Galleri Christoffer Egelund presents ‘My Amorphous Garden’, Laura Astrup Larsen’s first solo exhibition at the gallery, in its Project Room from 21 August to 18 September 2026. The opening reception, with the artist present, is on Friday 21 August from 16.00 to 19.00 at Bredgade 75, Copenhagen K.

The show consists of colourful ceramic sculptures and wall reliefs. The gallery describes it as a sensual landscape in constant transformation, as though an unknown organism had taken root in the Project Room and the space had stopped reading as a conventional exhibition room. Larsen draws on botany while breaking with its logic, building forms that feel at once familiar and strange.

Materials are set against expectation: combinations of ceramics, glass and textiles in which what looks soft proves hard, and what looks fluid is frozen solid. Works on the gallery’s checklist include ‘Green Organism’ (2024, stoneware with underglaze and textured glaze, 42 × 35 × 22 cm), ‘Green Organism with Peach Dots’ (2024, stoneware with textured glaze and embroidered textile, 45 × 47 × 13 cm) and ‘Yellow Corner Portal’ (2026, stoneware with glass underglaze and textured glaze, 28 × 17 × 32 cm). The Danish edition of the press release gives the title as ‘Min Amorfe Have’.

Larsen (b. 1996, Copenhagen) is an artist and designer working between Stockholm and Copenhagen. She took a master’s degree in Craft, Ceramics and Glass at Konstfack in 2024, after a bachelor’s in industrial design in 2020 at Kolding Design School and the Willem de Kooning Academy. Recent solo shows were at Kaleido, Uppsala, and Officinet, Copenhagen, both in 2025; recent group shows include ‘SUMMERTIME ’26 – The Annual Group Show’ at Galleri Christoffer Egelund and ‘Mellan Uttryck och Identitet’ at Indicum, Uppsala (2024).

The Project Room show runs alongside ‘Some Listeners Heal Us without Reply’, the Canadian painter Melanie Daniel’s fourth solo exhibition with the gallery, in the main space on the same dates. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Friday 15.00–18.00 and Saturday 12.00–16.00, or by appointment.
