The Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art in Kanazawa is marking its current exhibition on Japanese paper with a limited-time sweets collaboration at its café. The museum says the promotion accompanies 'Haibara, Yumeji, Kyosai - Japan's Beautiful Paper,' presented as a collaboration with Montelimar Japon and available from Aug. 8 to Sept. 13.

According to the museum’s café information page, the special item is titled 'Montelimar Japon' and is sold through Le Musée de H Takano, the sweets brand led by Ishikawa-born pâtissier Hiroaki Tsujiguchi. The museum describes the dessert as a mousse inspired by the French confection 'Nougat Montelimar,' built around a soft nougat-like sweetness and combined with orange, raisins, pistachios, cherries, apricots and peach cooked in red wine.

The museum links the composition of the dessert to the exhibition’s theme. In its notice, the sweet is presented as a confection in which different ingredients “harmonize while bringing out each other’s individuality,” an approach the museum says echoes the show’s world of varied artistic expression. The exhibition title itself references Kawanabe Kyosai, Takehisa Yumeji and Kawase Hasui, whose names appear in the Japanese-language title posted by the museum.

The café page states that the collaboration sweet is part of the museum’s current exhibition programming, but it is offered separately through the museum café and does not require an admission ticket for café-only use. Visitors may also take it out, according to the museum’s information.

Pricing listed on the museum site is 1,134 yen for takeout and 1,155 yen for eat-in service, both including tax. The page also notes a 100-yen discount for visitors who present a stub from 'Haibara, Yumeji, Kyosai - Japan's Beautiful Paper.'

The café, located at the museum’s Kanazawa site, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last orders at 5 p.m., while the museum itself lists opening hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with entry allowed until 5:30 p.m. The museum’s site lists the promotion’s sale period as Aug. 8 through Sept. 13 at Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art.
