Museus de Sitges has published the programme for Sitgestiu 2026, a summer series of guided tours, workshops and cultural events scheduled from August 11 to 13, 2026. The museum group says the week of activities is inspired by Mediterranean light and will include visits to Palau de Maricel, the Museum of Cau Ferrat and other sites, alongside concerts, workshops and evening tours.

The announcement comes through Museus de Sitges, the Sitges museum consortium that oversees several heritage venues in the town, including the Cau Ferrat Museum, Palau de Maricel, Museu de Maricel, Fundació Stämpfli and the Museu Romàntic. In the Sitgestiu programme page, the consortium presents the season as part of its wider calendar of exhibitions, guided visits and public activities running through the summer.

The published programme places special emphasis on guided interpretation of the museum sites. Listed activities include ‘Palau de Maricel’ guided visits and a ‘Museum walking tour’, as well as a ‘Modernist night tour’ and a ‘Capvespre de lluna plena’ guided visit. The page also notes ‘Passeig sensorial’ and ‘Passeig d'aromes amb vins i cava’, indicating that the summer offer combines heritage visits with more experiential formats.

Music and performance are also built into the schedule. Among the entries shown on the programme page are ‘Recital de cant: Keti Gorgodze i Manuel Ruiz’, ‘Jazz al mirador’, ‘Ethos Ensemble’, ‘Jouska Quartet’, ‘Madama Butterfly’, ‘Òpera a la fresca’ and a scientific family show titled ‘El misteri de les bombolles’. The programme also lists workshops for families, including ‘La Festa Major a la samarreta’.

The Sitgestiu page shows multilingual scheduling for several activities, with English, Spanish and Catalan time slots provided for some guided experiences. For example, the ‘Museum walking tour’ appears as a 10 am English visit, followed by Spanish and Catalan sessions, while ‘Passeig d'aromes amb vins i cava’ and ‘Passeig sensorial’ are also offered in multiple languages. That format suggests the summer series is aimed at both local visitors and international audiences in Sitges.

Beyond the Sitgestiu headline dates, the Museus de Sitges website presents a broad programme extending through July and August, including repeated guided visits to Palau de Maricel and occasional combined visits to the Museu del Cau Ferrat and Museu de Maricel. The site also lists a guided visit to the Fundació Stämpfli - Art Contemporani. For Sitgestiu 2026 itself, the verified event date range in the museum notice runs from Tuesday, August 11 to Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Museus de Sitges in Sitges, Spain.
