Off The Wall Gallery in Houston will present 'Salvador Dalí | The Argillet Collection' from September 15 to October 15, 2026, bringing together works created through Dalí’s collaboration with publisher Pierre Argillet. The exhibition is billed as an opportunity to see original drawings, hand-signed etchings and rare tapestries from what the gallery describes as one of the most important collections of Dalí’s work. The show will be on view at the gallery’s Main Gallery in Houston.
The announcement places the presentation within a longstanding artistic partnership rather than a single retrospective theme. According to the gallery, the works on display were created between Dalí and Pierre Argillet over a decades-long collaboration that produced a major body of graphic art. Off The Wall Gallery says the collection provides a focused look at Dalí’s imagination, symbolism and technical range, and the gallery’s online artist page identifies the Argillet holdings as one of the most important bodies of Dalí graphic art in the world.
The exhibition’s roster includes works such as 'Faust, Knight and Death' (1968), 'Mythology, Pegasus' (1964), 'Venus in Furs, Winged Demon' (1969) and 'Individual, Place Furstenberg' (1971). The gallery’s materials indicate that the exhibition will feature original etchings on archival paper alongside drawings and tapestries, underscoring the breadth of media associated with the Argillet project. All works on display are offered for acquisition, and financing options are available, according to the gallery.
Off The Wall Gallery is located at 5015 Westheimer Road, Suite 2208, in Houston’s Uptown District in The Galleria, and the gallery says the exhibition will be shown at its Main Gallery facing Post Oak Boulevard. The gallery’s public hours are listed as Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm, with Sunday noon to 6 pm and special hours by appointment. Private appointments and virtual presentations are also available by request.
A public program tied to the exhibition will bring Madame Christine Argillet to Houston for special receptions on September 18, 19 and 20. Christine Argillet is identified by the gallery as Pierre Argillet’s daughter, and the materials say she personally knew Dalí and grew up surrounded by his art and creative world. The gallery says her appearance will offer a rare and intimate perspective on the artist and on the collaboration between Dalí and her father.
The special events begin with an opening reception on Friday, September 18, from 5 to 8 pm, followed by a reception on Saturday, September 19, from 5 to 8 pm. On Sunday, September 20, the gallery will hold a curator Q&A from 11 am to 1 pm. The gallery describes the special events as complimentary and open to the public, with advance tickets requested for the receptions and curator program.
