Wrocław Contemporary Museum will offer an English-language guided tour of Marco Angelini’s exhibition 'Art. Energy. Sustainability.' on 7 August at 6 pm, as the institution presents the event as an interactive exploration of how visitors engage with contemporary art. The free tour, titled 'Does the World Still Need Us?', will take place in the exhibition space on level 4 and is framed around discussion, observation and short activities rather than a traditional explanatory walk-through.
According to the museum’s event listing, the tour asks participants to consider whether contemporary art is really as difficult as it is often perceived to be. Instead of focusing on a single correct interpretation or on what the artist “meant,” the programme uses the works on view as a starting point for conversation about personal habits, relationships with technology, everyday objects and the surrounding world. The format combines close looking with guided discussion and simple creative exercises.
The museum says the activities are designed to move between reflection and hands-on participation. One element invites visitors to think about when an object becomes waste and whether it can be given a second life, using seemingly ordinary or discarded materials to create new artistic compositions. Another introduces an alternating soundscape of nature and contemporary civilisation, prompting participants to respond with visual compositions and to notice how different people can experience the same material in different ways.
The museum describes the tour as an opportunity to reflect on what the artworks evoke, how they shape perceptions of everyday life and whether value can be recognised in places where it may not have been noticed before. The event is free admission. The museum’s English title for the tour appears alongside the exhibition title, while the website also describes the programme as one of the final public events accompanying the exhibition’s run.
A later event in the same programme, 'Marco Angelini. Rekonesans', is scheduled for 14 August at 6 pm in the same exhibition space on level 4. The museum says that conversation with the artist will develop the themes raised in 'Art. Energy. Sustainability.' and provide insight into Angelini’s creative process. The discussion will be interpreted consecutively from Italian into Polish by dr Michalina Wojaczek-Babińska.
The museum’s newsletter also notes that the exhibition is nearing its close and that the August programme includes the English tour, the artist meeting and a screening of the 1917 film 'Bestia' with live music on 21 August.
