Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds is preparing for its annual fundraising gala, ‘Starlight on the Sound Gala 2026,’ scheduled for August 22 at 5 p.m. The museum describes the event as an evening of gourmet cuisine, music and auctions, with proceeds benefiting the institution. Ticketing for the gala is already open, with individual and table options listed on the event page.
The museum’s newsletter calls the benefit Cascadia’s “biggest event of the year” and places it against the Edmonds waterfront. The gala comes as the museum continues its summer season of exhibitions, workshops and public programs at its home on Sunset Avenue in Edmonds. Cascadia says the event is intended to support its ongoing work preserving Northwest art, presenting exhibitions and expanding educational opportunities.
According to the event listing, a Friend ticket costs $300 per person and includes appetizers, a hosted bar, dinner and valet parking. A Patron ticket is priced at $400 per person and adds early entrance at 4:30 p.m. and recognition in the catalog as a Patron. Table packages are also available: a Friend Table of 10 is listed at $3,000, and a Patron Table of 10 at $4,000.
The gala menu is built around a citrus salad with seasonal citrus, shaved fennel and carrot, mixed greens and arugula with an agave-lime vinaigrette. Entrée choices include braised short rib, prawns or a vegan ratatouille, each paired with side dishes such as haricot verts with garlic and olive oil, roasted fingerling potatoes with rosemary and sea salt, herbed jasmine rice or vegan herbed polenta cakes. The museum also notes that valet parking is part of the Friend and Patron ticket packages.
Cascadia’s August newsletter places the fundraiser alongside a busy month of programming. The museum is offering adult watercolor workshops on August 13 and 14, a family art workshop called ‘Whimsical Garden Creations’ on August 15, free admission for Art Walk Edmonds on August 20, and a free summer art studio activity the same day. ‘Music in the Museum’ is set for August 15, while ‘Coffee with the Curator’ follows on August 30.
The museum’s summer exhibition slate includes ‘Shadows of a Fleeting World: Pictorial Photography and the Seattle Camera Club,’ ‘Between Water and Sky: Works on Paper from the Garvey Family Collection’ and ‘Eternal Forms: The Sculpture of Everett DuPen,’ all on view through September 13. The newsletter also notes that Cascadia has received a 2026 ArtsFund Grant totaling $20,620 in unrestricted operating support.
