Fukuoka Asian Art Museum has launched an annual passport for 'Walking Through Asian Art' ('Asia bijutsu no arukikata'), a ticket product that allows repeated entry to three exhibitions scheduled across fiscal 2026 and into early 2027. According to the museum’s notice, the pass covers the project’s East Asia, South Asia special, and Southeast Asia chapters, and is priced to save visitors 400 yen compared with buying general admission for each of the three exhibitions once.
The museum says sales run from 18 April 2026 through 11 January 2027. Passes are available at the museum’s 7th-floor museum shop, Ron Hua, and can also be purchased online. The general-admission annual passport is priced at 1,000 yen, while the student price for high school and university students is 800 yen.
The first eligible exhibition, 'East Asia Chapter', will run in the museum’s Asian Gallery from 18 April to 30 August 2026, with admission set at 200 yen for general visitors and 150 yen for high school and university students. The second, 'South Asia Special Chapter', is scheduled for 19 September 2026 to 11 January 2027 in the museum’s Planning and Asian Gallery, with a general admission price of 1,000 yen and a student price of 800 yen.
The third exhibition, 'Southeast Asia Chapter', is listed for 4 February to 31 March 2027 in the Asian Gallery. The museum’s notice adds an asterisked note indicating that the exhibition period extends to 29 August, but the page does not further explain that notation. The listed admission for this chapter is 200 yen for general visitors and 150 yen for students.
Fukuoka Asian Art Museum frames the series as a way to encounter Asian art by region, presenting works from across East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. The annual passport is intended for visitors who may want to return during the exhibitions’ run rather than seeing each chapter only once. The museum says the pass is cheaper than paying the standard admission for each exhibition separately, based on one general-admission visit to each of the three parts.
The ticket also comes with additional benefits. The museum says buyers will receive an original sticker as a novelty item, and will be invited to a back-of-house tour of Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, with limited capacity. It adds that three tours are planned between June and March, and that further participation details will be announced on the museum website and other channels.
