RHODES will open '12:12', its summer group exhibition, on 7 August 2026 at RHODES Contemporary Art in London. The exhibition runs until 29 August and brings together original works by twelve of the gallery’s contemporary artists. According to the gallery, the show was not built around a preset theme but developed as a broad cross-section of the RHODES roster, with each artist invited to present work that reflects their practice at its strongest.
The exhibition’s title points to its structure: twelve artists contributing to a single summer presentation. The gallery says the selection was intended to reflect the breadth, individuality and quality of contemporary art across its programme. The roster named for the exhibition comprises Helen Bermingham, Carsten Beck, Morag Caister, Delia Hamer, Eleanor Johnson, Yool Kim, Jihye Park, Camilla Perkins, Kevin Sabo, Nick Smith, Cat Spilman and Martha Zmpounou.
RHODES is based at 65 Great Portland Street in London, and its website lists the gallery’s opening hours as Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 6pm and Saturday from 12pm to 6pm, with Sunday and public holidays closed, or by appointment. The exhibition is shown under the gallery’s contemporary art programme and is accompanied by a sales preview and catalogue request option on the exhibition page.
The gallery’s online notes outline the range of practices represented in the show. Helen Bermingham’s paintings are described as exploring memory, time and the unconscious through repetition, layering and intuitive mark-making. Carsten Beck’s compositions draw on architecture, shifting light and geometry, while Morag Caister’s portrait paintings focus on identity, memory and human connection. Delia Hamer’s work is presented through mythology, spirituality and nature, with recurring motifs including water, citrus fruit and Mediterranean landscapes.
Other participating artists extend that range further. Eleanor Johnson works between abstraction and representation in layered figurative painting, while Yool Kim creates dreamlike compositions centred on memory, belonging and the natural world. Jihye Park examines the relationship between humanity and nature, Camilla Perkins turns to gardens, travel and cherished memories, and Kevin Sabo’s stylised figurative paintings engage with humour, theatricality and social observation. Nick Smith’s pixelated works translate iconic imagery into colour chips inspired by digital palettes, Cat Spilman’s abstract paintings are shaped by gestural mark-making and luminous colour, and Martha Zmpounou’s atmospheric canvases focus on light, landscape and memory.
Among the selected works highlighted on the exhibition page are Cat Spilman’s 'The Diving Board' (2026), Yool Kim’s 'Stay in My Arms a Little Longer' (2026), Delia Hamer’s 'Fountain of Living Water' (2026) and Kevin Sabo’s 'Girl with Chair (Dark Room)' (2026). The gallery has scheduled a private view for Thursday 6 August, from 6pm to 8pm, ahead of the exhibition’s public run from 7 to 29 August at RHODES Contemporary Art, 65 Great Portland Street, London W1W 7LW.
