The Centro Niemeyer will offer two August sessions of its 'Rutas de Arte' program for the exhibition 'Naturalezas Vivas', giving visitors a guided way to look at the show through the history of landscape representation. The tours are set for Sunday, August 2, and Sunday, August 16, both at 11:30 a.m., with Patricia Pérez leading the visits.
According to the center’s event page, the tours are designed as an alternative perspective on the exhibition, moving across more than five centuries of art history. The route focuses on how landscape has evolved as an artistic genre and on the different ways artists have represented, interpreted and transformed nature over time.
The exhibition-linked visits will draw on works from a range of historical periods and visual languages, with artists named on the program including Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Sorolla and Ellen Kooi. The guided route traces landscape from a secondary element within compositions to an autonomous genre capable of expressing ideas about territory, identity, memory and the relationship between people and their surroundings.
The center says the visits also encourage reflection on changing attitudes toward nature. The tour moves from early idealized depictions of the natural world to contemporary concerns around sustainability, human impact on territory and the climate crisis. Those themes are framed through the works brought together in 'Naturalezas Vivas', which are presented in dialogue with one another.
'Rutas de Arte' is described as an art-tour format centered on the exhibition and led by Patricia Pérez. The sessions are listed as lasting about 60 minutes and are priced at 10 euros, with a reduced rate of 8 euros and free admission for children aged 0 to 12.
