A major solo exhibition of Chris Ofili will run from 7 September 2027 to 9 January 2028, spanning over three decades of his work. It will be Ofili’s largest solo exhibition in London since 2010.
The exhibition brings together formative works from the 1990s alongside Ofili’s latest creations.
Ofili’s atmospheric and enigmatic paintings investigate the intersection of desire, identity and representation, portraying characters from a range of aesthetic and cultural sources through a kaleidoscopic visual mode that bridges abstraction and figuration.
Ofili represented Britain at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003 and was awarded the Turner Prize in 1998.
