The 'Child’s Play' spotlight tour is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, with Ricardo Fernandes Garcia ’27.

Garcia’s tour will explore how representations of innocence have enabled artists to address conflict and war.

The tour will include Winslow Homer’s 'The Brush Harrow' (1865), which depicts a scene from childhood.

It will also include George Grosz’s 'Nutcracker' (1931), which features a group of toys.

Joseph Cornell’s 'Midnight Carrousel' (1954) suggests the imagination at work.

The event is scheduled as an in-person tour at Harvard Art Museums, 32 Quincy Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts; it is free to attend, with space limited.
