Haggin Museum will host live music by Alex Reyes on Thursday, July 16, 2026, as part of its 1st and 3rd Thursday evening series. The concert is scheduled for 7 pm to 8 pm, with a social hour beginning at 6:30 pm and complimentary wine offered before the performance. The event is included with regular museum admission and seating is limited.

The museum’s event listing identifies Reyes as a Stockton-born jazz musician with ties to the Central Valley music scene. According to the museum, he earned degrees in Jazz Studies from the University of the Pacific and the University of Tennessee, where he also served as a graduate teaching assistant. He currently teaches at American River College and San Joaquin Delta College.

Reyes performs locally on saxophone and piano and has appeared at the Brubeck Festival and the Next Generation Jazz Festival, the museum says. His album 'In The Shed Vol. 1' is available on streaming platforms. The Haggin’s announcement does not describe the program he will play on July 16, but it places the concert within a broader series that mixes special guests and live music on select Thursday evenings.

Haggin Museum says its Thursday programs are hosted by the Junior Women’s Group and are designed as evening outings for visitors. The museum notes that the museum and store are open until 9 pm on 1st and 3rd Thursdays, when entertainment begins at 7 pm unless otherwise stated. The July 16 event follows that schedule, with the pre-show social hour beginning half an hour earlier.

The museum’s events page describes its programming as ranging from live music to panel discussions connected to temporary exhibitions. On its website, Haggin Museum says its remodeled galleries include 19th- and 20th-century art and works by illustrator J.C. Leyendecker, alongside history galleries focused on San Joaquin County. The museum is located at 1201 N. Pershing Ave in Stockton, California.

Alongside the Alex Reyes concert, the museum’s upcoming calendar includes other public programs later in the summer and fall, including ‘Meet the Makers: Zach Bailey’ on August 1, ‘Comedy Night: Stephen B’ on August 6, and the opening reception for the ‘63rd Stockton Art League Juried Exhibition’ on September 17. For the July 16 live music event, the museum reiterates that admission applies and that seating is limited and not guaranteed.
