The Fundação Eugénio de Almeida is presenting three exhibitions at its Centro de Arte e Cultura in Évora, with free admission and regular opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 7 pm. The programme brings together ‘as paisagens mudam de lugar’, drawn from the collection of the Fundação PLMJ; ‘Fernando Lemos: luz do olhar’, an individual exhibition curated by Marlene Oliveira; and ‘Sagrado Coração’, a collective show featuring works from the archive of the Archdiocese of Évora and the Treger Saint Silvestre Collection.
The exhibitions are listed together in the foundation’s July newsletter and on its agenda page, positioning the Centro de Arte e Cultura as a hub for multiple strands of contemporary and historical material at once. The newsletter invites visitors to “discover other ways of seeing and thinking about art” through the three exhibitions, while the agenda page sets out the exhibition titles, curators and locations within the centre.
‘as paisagens mudam de lugar – obras da coleção da Fundação PLMJ’ is shown on Piso 1 and is curated by João Silvério. The show opened on 28 February 2026 and is scheduled to run until 30 August 2026. The title indicates a focus on landscape as a shifting subject, and the exhibition is one of the centre’s current major displays.
‘Fernando Lemos: luz do olhar’ is installed on Piso 0 in Sala Rostrum. The individual exhibition opened on 28 March 2026 and continues until 8 November 2026. The agenda identifies Marlene Oliveira as curator. Fernando Lemos’ work appears as a standalone presentation within the centre’s broader cultural programme, giving the exhibition a longer run than the summer programming around it.
The third exhibition, ‘Sagrado Coração. Obras do acervo da Arquidiocese de Évora e da Coleção Treger Saint Silvestre’, occupies Piso 2. Curated by Joaquim Oliveira Caetano, it opened on 31 May 2026 and remains on view until 28 February 2027. Its title and source description place the show at the intersection of ecclesiastical holdings and a private collection, extending the centre’s programme into a different range of art-historical material.
Alongside the exhibitions, the newsletter lists a family programme and a thematic visit, but keeps them separate from the main exhibition offer. ‘Sábado Criativo’ is scheduled for 18 July at 3 pm at the Centro de Arte e Cultura and invites families with children from age 3 to explore ‘as paisagens mudam de lugar’. The participation note says it requires prior registration.
A second public activity, ‘Buona Fresco’, is listed for 23 July at 9 pm at the Paço de São Miguel and Jardim das Casas Pintadas. The event page describes it as a thematic visit through mythical figures, fantastic creatures and symbolic narratives, with free participation by prior registration. The same newsletter also mentions ‘Rota ODS’, a social-inclusion project developed by the Centro de Inovação Social in partnership with the Instituto Marquês de Valle Flôr and students at Escola Secundária Severim de Faria, which maps sustainable-development links across Évora’s historic centre.
