Serpentine has released a new set of limited editions tied to two current projects in Kensington Gardens: the 2026 Pavilion designed by LANZA atelier and Jesús Rafael Soto’s interactive sculpture ‘Pénétrable BBL Jaune’. Announced in the gallery’s summer releases newsletter, the editions include newly commissioned stools inspired by the Coco de Mer seed, as well as works linked to Soto’s ‘Pénétrable’ series, with proceeds supporting Serpentine’s artistic programmes.
The newsletter says the 2026 Pavilion, designed by LANZA atelier, has opened alongside Soto’s sculpture, and that both sit with Serpentine’s current exhibitions. In response, the gallery is offering “several new limited editions” connected to the Pavilion and the Soto installation. The release is part of Serpentine’s long-running limited-edition programme, which sells objects, prints and design pieces to raise funds for the gallery and its free admission policy.
Among the new objects are two stools created exclusively for Serpentine by LANZA atelier. The gallery says the designs take their sculptural form from the Coco de Mer seed, native to the Seychelles. Each stool will be made in an edition of 35, with versions in cork for indoor use and in LINE-X for outdoor use. The newsletter notes that the stools carry forward the themes of this year’s Pavilion and the studio’s continued exploration of form, process and nature-led design.
Serpentine is also offering the chair and stool designs featured in this year’s Pavilion commission as separate editions. Those works are released in an edition of 100 and are stamped and uniquely numbered on the underside of the seat. In the shop listing for the cork Coco de Mer stool, Serpentine identifies the piece as a 2026 limited edition, made from black cork and stainless steel, and available exclusively through the gallery.
The Soto editions accompany ‘Pénétrable BBL Jaune’ in Kensington Gardens. Serpentine describes Jesús Rafael Soto (1923–2005) as one of the pioneers of kinetic art, known for works that explore movement, space and tactility. ‘Pénétrable BBL Jaune’ is identified as part of Soto’s celebrated ‘Pénétrable’ series, and the gallery says the new suite of editions has been developed in association with the artist’s estate in honour of the installation.
The release includes multiple Soto-linked objects: ‘Composition’, ‘Multiple S’ and ‘Vibración en la masa transparente’. Serpentine lists the edition prices alongside the works in its shop, underscoring the commercial side of the programme while framing the releases as a support mechanism for the institution. The newsletter says every purchase supports Serpentine’s artistic programmes and helps keep its exhibitions free and open to all.
The newsletter presents the editions as advance access to Serpentine’s newest releases, with contact details for the Limited Editions team and online purchase links. For the gallery, the new objects link the Pavilion and the Soto installation directly to its fundraising programme, while keeping the spotlight on the specific forms and materials that define the 2026 season’s design and sculpture commissions.
