Weserburg Museum für moderne Kunst in Bremen has released a new episode of its podcast series ‘Talking Heads’, centred on artist Anys Reimann and her exhibition ‘Mirrorball’. The episode is presented as a conversation between curator Ingo Clauß and Reimann and is now available via Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Podigee. According to the museum’s announcement, the discussion focuses on the core concerns of her work and on a group of themes that recur across the exhibition.
The podcast episode examines body and identity, cultural belonging, representation and self-empowerment, framing Reimann’s practice through both personal and social questions. Weserburg’s own description also says the conversation touches on collage, sculpture, music and film, giving listeners a broad introduction to the materials and references that shape the exhibition. In addition, the episode refers to ‘ARCHIPELAGO’, described by the museum as a Black garden of dark- and black-flowering plants created for the exhibition.
The museum positions ‘Talking Heads’ as an ongoing format for conversations around art, artists, collectors, experts and museum staff. Its podcast pages describe the series as bringing together “the art world at close range” and say that the episodes address current issues, fundamental questions, personal stories and the background to Weserburg’s exhibitions and projects. The programme is led alternately by the museum’s curators, sometimes in the museum, sometimes in studios, with or without an audience. The new Anys Reimann episode continues that structure by linking an artist interview directly to the exhibition on view.
Weserburg’s podcast archive shows the Reimann episode as number 024. The archive entry repeats the same core themes and notes that the episode concerns ‘Anys Reimann. Mirrorball’ at the Weserburg Museum für moderne Kunst. The museum also states that the podcast is supported by the VGH-Stiftung for episodes 003 to 017, while the current episode is listed alongside more recent instalments featuring artists, collectors and other guests.
The release comes in the context of Weserburg’s broader exhibition programme, which on the museum’s website includes the long-running collection presentation ‘So wie wir sind’. That presentation, opened in 2023 and described by Weserburg as a “living collection presentation”, features works by more than 100 artists and groups across 2,500 square metres and is curated by Ingo Clauß and Janneke de Vries. The museum’s site outlines its changing format, in which works are periodically added, moved or removed and thematic areas are revised over time.
Alongside the podcast announcement, Weserburg’s newsletter also mentioned a guided visit connected to ‘No more kings. Kunst und Demokratie’, titled a director’s tour with Janneke de Vries. The newsletter states that the short tour took place on Sunday, 19 July 2025, at 11:30 am and that admission was included in the entrance fee. The main new item, however, is the latest ‘Talking Heads’ episode with Anys Reimann, available now on the museum’s podcast platforms.
