A volume carries the process, core ideas and dialogue that have driven the organization of the ‘59th Carnegie International’.

It is a compilation of conversations about artistic practice among the exhibition’s formally and nationally diverse participants, featuring specially commissioned prints. The publication also includes commissioned essays and conversations between participating artists and their interlocutors, underscoring relationships and networks among practitioners.

This iteration of the International explores manifold ways of practicing art and recognizes that the worlds individuals build are both larger and more complex than the countries in which they reside.

The ‘59th Carnegie International’ was curated by Ryan Inouye, Danielle A. Jackson and Liz Park.
