Girona Museum of Art is offering a series of guided wine-tasting visits under the title 'Verema d’Art', combining a museum tour, a walk through Girona’s Episcopal heritage and tastings of local wines. The first session listed on the museum’s event page is set for 9 July 2026 at 7 pm, with further dates also posted for 30 July, 13 August, 27 August and 10 September.
According to the museum, the activity is curated by Glops d’Història and begins at the Museum of Art of Girona. The listed meeting point is the museum itself, and the price is €35, or €17.50 for Amics del md’A members. Places are limited and advance booking is required. The price includes admission to the Museum of Art, entry to Girona Cathedral and a tasting of several wines.
The event is framed as a sensory approach to Girona’s Episcopal heritage. The museum says the visit is designed to combine history, art and wines from the territory, offering participants “a new and sensory” way to experience cultural heritage. The route starts with selected works from the museum’s collection, followed by a tasting, then continues to the cathedral for a second nocturnal tasting.
One work singled out in the museum’s description is the 'Martirologi d’Usuard', a manuscript dated 1254. The page says the visit will begin with a first tasting after discovering some of the museum’s most outstanding works, before moving on to Girona Cathedral. There, the experience culminates in the illuminated Romanesque cloister, which the museum describes as an exceptional setting for the second tasting.
The museum’s event listing places 'Verema d’Art' within its activities programme rather than as a conventional exhibition. It is presented as a guided cultural experience linked to the city’s religious and artistic heritage, with the museum and the cathedral serving as the two main stops on the route.
The event page also notes that other dates are available beyond the July session, with additional departures scheduled for August and September. The museum lists the activity as starting at 7 pm on 9 July 2026, with later sessions on 30 July at 7 pm, 13 August at 6.30 pm, 27 August at 6.15 pm and 10 September at 6 pm.
