Friedrich Kunath’s First Solo Exhibition with Pace in Seoul

Friedrich Kunath’s First Solo Exhibition with Pace in Seoul Image: Pace Gallery, New York

The exhibition marks Friedrich Kunath’s first solo exhibition with Pace in Seoul and his second exhibition since joining the gallery’s program in 2025.

Across the exhibited works, Kunath explores themes of distance and (re)location, where a longing emerges between the place one is in and the place one is destined to be.

In ‘Untitled’ (2026), Kunath places a colorful Porsche half-submerged in a pond, the surrounding water quiet and still, creating a subtle tension between arrival and departure.

His characters all find a place to play within the epic scenery of ‘The Most Beautiful World In The World’. Based in Los Angeles since 2007, Kunath creates work grounded in his experiences on the West Coast of the United States and his enduring relationship with Europe.
