Doyle is offering property from philanthropist and former Mets owner Lorinda Payson de Roulet’s collection in select sales beginning October 7, with additional property scheduled for auction through January 2027. The opening auction is scheduled for October 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. and focuses on paintings, furniture and decorative arts from the collection.

Additional property will appear in select upcoming auctions involving jewelry, coins, books and Americana.

The sale continues Doyle’s longstanding association with the Whitney and Payson families, following the auction house’s on-site auction of the Estate of Joan Whitney Payson, de Roulet’s mother, at the family’s Manhasset mansion in 1984. A highlight of that estate sale was Abraham Lincoln’s manuscript of his last public address, which sold for $231,000.

Following her mother’s death in 1975, de Roulet succeeded Joan Whitney Payson as president of the Mets.

De Roulet was also active in philanthropy and civic institutions, carrying forward the family’s tradition of public service through board roles at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Gracie Square Hospital, The Ethel Walker School, the Nassau County Museum of Art and The Tilles Center. She was president of North Shore Hospital, among other philanthropic initiatives.
