The opening is scheduled for Thursday, 10 September 2026, from 6 to 10 pm at the gallery's Charlottenstrasse location.
At the heart of the exhibition is the 1969 film 'Life–Death', accompanied by large-format film stills. Its dual-channel projection enters into dialogue with large-format film stills and photographic tableaux.
Katharina Sieverding's 'Life-Death I' is dated 1969/1995 and is a fine art print with acrylic and a stainless steel frame. Another related work listed in the exhibition is 'Transformer V A/B', dated 1973/1974.
In an era of relentless image production, algorithmic visibility and AI-generated imagery, the questions Sieverding posed as early as 1969 feel more urgent than ever: How are identities shaped through images? How do technical media transform our perception? And how can meaning be kept open rather than fixed?
