A work by Valentín de Zubiaurre has recently been incorporated into the collections.
The work is ‘Retrat de Santiago Rusiñol’, dated 1911–12. Its highlighting was explicitly connected with the International Day of Deaf People.
Zubiaurre was born deaf and cultivated a costumbrist mode of painting.
