Gammel Holtegaard is set to host an artist talk with Tal R on 13 August 2026, bringing the Danish artist into conversation with writer and cultural critic Amalie Langballe around the museum’s current exhibition 'Moonwalk'. The talk is scheduled for 5:00 to 6:30 pm and will take place in Café alma at Gl. Holtegaard in Holte.
The event is presented as an exclusive artist talk, and the announcement says it is intended to offer insight into Tal R’s artistic universe. The conversation will be moderated by Langballe, who is named in the programme as the interviewer for the evening. Ticket prices are listed as 180 kr., including admission, or 120 kr. for members with a year card.
According to the venue’s own description, 'Moonwalk' focuses on Tal R’s sculptural production over the past 20 years. The exhibition is currently on view at Gl. Holtegaard from 30 May to 20 September 2026, and the institution describes Tal R’s work there as colouristically and compositionally structured through intuitive combinations of many different materials and motifs. The website also characterises the exhibition title as pointing to movement on terrain that is visible yet deeply unfamiliar, where gravity, safe passage and familiar rules are suspended.
Gl. Holtegaard presents itself as a new art hall for contemporary and modern art, located in a baroque pleasure palace north of Copenhagen, with sculpture positioned as a central element in its programme. The venue’s website lists the institution’s address as Attemosevej 170, 2840 Holte, and notes regular opening hours throughout the week, with Thursday opening extended to 8 pm. The artist talk is listed specifically for Café alma at the same address.
The talk also places Langballe in the frame as a cultural commentator rather than only a moderator. In the venue’s email announcement, she is described as a journalist educated at the Danish School of Media and Journalism, and as the author of the 2019 novel 'Forsvindingsnumre', which received Bogforums Debutantpris. That background is presented by the institution as part of the evening’s framing, alongside her role as a sharp observer of art, culture and the present.
Gl. Holtegaard’s announcement gives no further programme details beyond the time, location and ticket price, but it clearly ties the artist talk to the institution’s current survey of Tal R’s sculptural work. The event is set for 13 August 2026, 5:00-6:30 pm, at Café alma, Gl. Holtegaard, Attemosevej 170, 2840 Holte.
