Museo Reina Sofía commemorates Mark Rothko’s birth with a work from 1950

In 2025, the museum incorporated Salvador Dalí’s 'Biombo' (1921–1922) into its collections.

The Museo Reina Sofía is recalling the republican origin of a pochoir by Joan Miró. The image depicts a Catalan peasant wearing a barretina and raising a fist.

At the Reina Sofía, the 1937 work ‘Aidez l'Espagne’ changes location. The process of moving and installing the piece in its new location is being shown in the #AhoraenSala section.
