‘Fractures’ is on view at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art from September 23, 2026, through February 21, 2027. The exhibition explores what happens when familiar ways of seeing begin to break apart, bringing together artists who transform landscapes, memories, materials, and everyday objects across a range of media.
Fragments overlap, perspectives shift, and what first appears recognizable gradually transforms into something else. The works invite viewers to linger in moments of uncertainty, where meaning is continually reconstructed through observation and experience.
‘Fractures’ is presented in partnership with Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and Radiant Hall.
The exhibition’s opening reception takes place during Art on Tap: Creative Couture on Friday, September 25, from 6–9pm. Wearable art designed by local fashion artists is on display throughout the Museum galleries.
Paul Rosenblatt’s ‘So It Goes’ (2025) is a mixed-media and collage work on wood panel. Rita Wilson’s ‘Spiral Staircase’ (2022) is an oil painting on canvas. Kristin Turcsanyi’s ‘Studio View’ (2022) is an acrylic work on wood panel.
