Ian Davenport’s exhibition ‘Reflections’ runs from 21 September to 21 November 2026 in London, marking his 11th solo exhibition with the gallery since his debut show there in 1990.
The paintings and drawings span the late 1980s to the present, including early experimental pieces made right after Davenport graduated from Goldsmiths College alongside the Puddle Paintings for which he is best known.
‘Watering Can Drawing: Diagonal Grid No.2’ is from 1992 and uses household paint on paper.
‘Qube’ is from 2007 and uses water-based paint on aluminium mounted onto an aluminium panel.
‘Blue Mirrored’ is from 2023 and uses acrylic on paper.
