DC Moore Gallery will present Eric Aho: ‘The Meadow’s Edge’ from October 8 to November 14, 2026.
In this exhibition, Eric Aho further explores the meadow subject introduced in his 2024 exhibition, ‘Wild Meadow’. Returning to the meadow at sunrise, twilight, and throughout the seasons, Aho catches glimpses of transient atmospheres between light and darkness, snow and thaw.
Returning to the meadow at sunrise, twilight, and throughout the seasons, Aho presents paintings of fireflies, moonlit forests, reimagined Dutch still lifes, and snow-covered landscapes. Together, these works present an inquiry into the borders of observation and imagination, perception found at the edges of spaces and forms. ‘Sugar Snow’, dated 2025, is an oil-on-linen work measuring 70 x 200 inches overall, with each panel measuring 70 x 100 inches. ‘Ink-Dark Forest (Full Moon, January)’, dated 2026, is an oil-on-linen work measuring 78 x 70 inches.
The exhibition includes an opening reception on October 8 and an exhibition walkthrough and book signing on November 14. Eric Aho lives and works in Saxtons River, Vermont.
