The book follows Aho from his luminous, enigmatic ‘Ice Cuts’—geometric openings carved into frozen ponds—to his visceral ‘Fire Paintings,’ which explore destruction, renewal, and the shifting forces of the environment.
It redefines contemporary landscape painting through a powerful blend of abstraction, realism, memory, and environmental experience.
The book also illuminates Aho’s singular approach to painting nature—its atmospheres, transformations, and unseen energies.
