Galerie Tschudi Announces Representation of Anouk Tschanz

Anouk Tschanz’s first solo exhibition at Galerie Tschudi will open on Thursday, 19 November 2026, in Zurich.

Tschanz is a photographer whose work moves seamlessly between technical precision and conceptual abstraction. Her close-up shots tread the line between form and dissolution of form, opening up understandings of what is depicted beyond its mere figuration.

Tschanz employs analog black-and-white photography and prints in her own darkroom. She produces handmade prints using techniques including split-grade filtering, image masking, post-exposure and dodging.

Her practice is concerned with processes of pictorial creation, as well as surfaces, materiality, light and depth. It includes quintessential subjects of nature photography such as leaves, flowers and stones, photographed with small-, medium- and large-format cameras in their original environments as well as in the studio.
