The project runs from 10 September to 10 October 2026 at MASSIMODECARLO’s Milan venue.
For the installation, Tianjin-born, Beijing-based artist Yang Bodu scales every painting to the exact size of a door in Casa Corbellini-Wassermann, making the real and painted openings difficult to distinguish.
The title refers to an enfilade, a sequence of doorways aligned into a single receding view, with each opening appearing to lead to another.
Yang has painted thresholds in her ‘In the Museum’ series for more than a decade.
These spaces are described as among the conditions that allow art to appear in public: they cannot promise permanence, but can slow deterioration and give fragile things more time.
