The museum announces the inaugural presentation of its new ongoing collection galleries, ‘Together Again: 1960-2026’. The exhibition opens September 23 and will remain on view long term.
Curated by founding director Rachel Teagle, the exhibition tells a history of art through the lens of UC Davis and Northern California. Its organizing approach connects earlier works from the Fine Arts Collection with recent acquisitions.
The recent acquisitions are by artists including Sadie Barnette, Woody De Othello, Kota Ezawa and Ruby Neri. Faculty artists Robert Arneson, Manuel Neri and Wayne Thiebaud are also highlighted.
